Totally annoying!!!

Well, the aircast is off.... and I now have to wear this contraption on my wrist for the next 3 weeks since my scafoit (sp?) still has not healed. I can barely change diapers with it.... and getting the girls dressed is the hardest part of the day! Here is my enemy....

Cannot wait to have nothing on this wrist and not be in pain anymore!!! 3 weeks baby! And hopefully my fingers will stop swelling so I can wear my wedding band again!!!!

What a bizarre week....

Monday started off good with Preston off from work for his birthday, we had a fun morning and then realized Kaiya had to be seen for whatever was wrong with her. We took her and turned out she had a bad sinus infection, we started her on antibiotics... incidently on the last day of Cassie antibiotics run for her ear infection. Things seemed to go a bit better until Wednesday when Cassie woke up with what Em and I call an "FUO" or fever of unknown origin.... and this kid was sick. I was waiting for her to start puking everywhere, but she never did, she did have a bog fever spike but we got some food and Motrin in and she seemed good. She woke up the next day FINE> it was kinda weird. Kaiya was still showing signs of her sinus infection, plus the Omniceph was hurting her belly... so she was a mess as well! Things seemed to calm down Thursday and we got a lot done since Preston had a half day (since he works a half day Saturday). Today I had to go to the orthopedic surgeon for my follow up to find out that my scafoit (sp?) has not fused back together yet.... and he said the only thing that would really work is not using it AT ALL for an entire week. Obviously he doesnt have kids:P So I told him that was impossible and I have to to wear a double layer brace/cast thing. Oh well. SO we are going to try nd end the week off with a good note, we are taking the girls swimming at the rec center tonight... to blow off some steam... they have been CRAZED today... good and bad. Almost bipolar like :P Well, here are some pics from the week of our "adventures."

Happy Birthday to my crazy, silly, loving, wild, adorable and wacky husband! 33 years ago to Preston came into this world:P

We have celebrated today in quiet fashion, starting off with a day off work, him sleeping in a little, homemade cards from the girls, breakfast in bed and cards from me, friends and family:) Then we had to get his time sheet done at work, license renewed and then poor Kaiya had to go to the doctor cause of a sinus infection:( But Daddy did not care, he took care of his girls even on his day! We are now just relaxing and enjoying the rest of the day together.

I am a lucky girl. We have our ups and downs as any couple, we are not perfect, but we are perfect for each other. We spent last night laughing hysterically to a show about home videos... we were unconsolable and it was great. Just as I said on our wedding day, he is the man I share my life with, love with and laugh with:)

Got some good news at the ortho doc...NO SURGERY!!! I will not have to have surgery to repair the ligament because it was not completely torn and already appeared to be healing! Both my bones that were broken look decent too according to the new x-rays today and my MRI gace the info about the SL ligament:) He wanted to cast it, but I was concerned about that because of the girls.... and not being able to get it wet at all... which is hard with two little ones... thigs just "happen" as all of us Moms know! So I am going to get fitting for a hard plastic brace at a DME company and I only have to wear it for 3 more weeks and then just during the day for another two:) I was happy about that! I did find out I did not get that perfect part time job I wanted... but I am still on the hunt. Teh girls are good, other then nasty colds... I am keeping an eye on Cass still because she seems to be still the worst off and has been pretty unhappy the past few days.

All and all, things are good. Here are some pictures from the past week of my crazies at play and at sleep:P Kaiya keeps telling me that there is "sticky stuff in her nose and she does not like it" :P God Bless her.... she is such a sweetie.

OK - I think that is it! I am looking forward to a long weekend with Preston and the girls since he does not have to work Monday and having a fun Valentines Day! Happy Valentines to all:)

What a lovely lunch!

Today, some of my beloved sorority sisters and I decided to have a girls day out with some lunch at California Pizza kitchen. It was a blast and I cannot remember the last tme I laughed so hard. I love how many memories we have together and all the fun we had talking about everything. I already cannot wait for another get together. We of course missed our girls who could not come, but we will get you next time girlies!!! Thanks everyone. Here is a pic of us at the table:)

I MAY or MAY NOT had some screw drivers with lunch that I actually had to sleep off when I got home.... but I am fine now :) (LIGHTWEIGHT):P

Confessions of a former thought she knew it all pregnant gal

That would be me. I remember saying so many things when I was pregnant that I would NOT do with my children.... I had waited a long time to get pregnant and by watching countless others with children... I thought I had it all figured out. I know it sounds bad... but I get it now:) ....and I feel I must come clean on a few... and share evidence as well:

My children will never eat french fries

My house will always be safety proofed and worry free for the kids and me

I will never let me kids watch a lot of TV... let alone silly cartoons (hi spongebob)

My kids will never go out in public with their hair or face a mess

They will always have mtching clothes on

I will never let them get sticky (cause I hate stickiness)

I will run the house - not them (my last ditch effort to keep them off the table... notice Cassie lurking)

A little nephew shout out

Charlie and Austin are just the sweetest little things. Charlie even calls me and Em Mommy.... I cannot stop... he is the only little boy in the world who calls me that. Austin is just the twinkliest little buddy you could ever ask for. I sometimes call them my "minifews" because lets face it... Em and Adam make mini kids :P Emy - thank you for bringing these boys into my life... they are wonderful.

*Hannah will always be my first little one... nothing can ever replace that.... and besides, she had such a blast at the play place... I did not get a chance to take her picture :P*

We were at the McDonalds PLay place today.... and they were just being so cute that I was taking pics of them the whole time. Here are some of the handsome little devils. Are they adorable or what!

They did it!!! Steelers are the only team in history to win SIX Super Bowls!!!!

What an incredible game last night, we had a blast! The girls were so wired because Preston was bouncing off the walls before the game!!!!! Such a fun night! YOU DID IT AGAIN STEELERS!
